Hi Gang! Well, today is the 2nd anniversary of JabbaThePug.com. Jabba (that’s me) and Leia would like to thank you for visiting our site and hope to see you around again in another two years as we continue our adventures. Goin’ on a Trip!

Sorry for the lack of updates lately. Things have been pretty busy around these parts. But, I do have one bit of news to report. The ‘rents are going to take Leia and me on a camping trip this weekend! I’ve never really gone camping before (except once in a cabin on our way to New York) so it should be pretty fun! I had to eat a pill that makes it so bugs wont like me and mommy has some spray that she puts on me that smells like cinnamon that’s supposed to deflect them. The only thing that’s unfortunate is that my pug meetup is this weekend too, but I wont be able to go because we’ll be gone. Anyway. Pictures of our camping excursion coming up soon–Promise.

Little Princess Leia! She’s my new sister. She was born on January 12, 2007; my parents brought her home on March 09. She was quite the surprise to me when she came home that night–I really wasn’t expecting to have another pug in this household. I’m still kinda getting used to having her around. She’s so tiny and sometimes I’m a little rambunctious around her.

Today is the 1-year anniversary of my blog. It was exactly 1 year ago today that I wrote my First Post. Thanks for reading!

In other news… my human ‘cousin’ Eve is visiting from California with her parents this weekend… Here are some pictures of her and me..

What’s this? Another dog in the house?

She doesn’t smell like a dog; that’s for sure.

Daddy decided to play around with the camera on his new cell phone and took a couple of pictures of me. I know, the quality isn’t the greatest, but you get the picture.

Vader

Poor guy. Vader is my half-cousin who lives in California. (We were both named after Star Wars characters if you hadn’t noticed.) He’s a 3-year old Poodle with black fur–hence the name Vader. Unfortunately, I don’t have any pictures of him available right now. (One of my other cousin’s is named Jedi–he has a white coat.)

Vader ran into some trouble last week. Daddy said he got a herniated disk in his back, and was temporarily partially paralyzed. He had to have surgery for four hours on his back to help him get better. After he got out of surgery, they said he was doing much better and has an 85% chance of full recovery. Right now he needs a bit of help to get around; I heard he got a new ’stroller’ that he gets taken around in, which sounds like fun. Good luck pal, we wish you a speedy recovery. Woof!

my apologies boys and girls…mommy says we got attacked by a vicious predator called a ’spammer’! i’m not sure what that is, but now you have to register to post a comment until the ‘rents get off their lazy bums and fix it for good. sorry guys! don’t worry, i gave the ’spammer’ a few choice barks and grrrrowls.
things on the home-front have been pretty fun lately. mommy made lots of tasty cookies, of which i was allowed to sample really small pieces of. and when i say really small, i mean really really small!

more later guys! the folks are gonna eat lunch now and i’ve got to put on my cute-i’m-starving-please-feed-me face!

It’s been a while…

OK. I know it’s been a while since I posted, but things have been pretty busy around here. Also, the power was out for over a week and that was no fun. I know, my camera isn’t working at the moment either. If all goes well that will get fixed soon. Hopefully I’ll be able to post some new pictures pretty soon. My 2nd birthday is coming up later this month…did you get me anything? Check out my wishlist: here. toodles.

i am very pleased to announce the addition of a new cousin! this here is cicely. mommy says her parents got the name from some show called ‘northern exposure.’ i think i remember it…mommy made me watch 2 whole days of it one time!

she looks like she would be fun to romp around with and cause twouble with!

in other news, mommy gave me a pedicure today. it’s not so bad now that i’m more grown up and i can take a philosophical approach to it. plus there’s the tweats i get for being good. those might work, too.

time for a post-dindin nap! keep on chewin’!

hey guys. sorry it’s been so long since i’ve updated. it’s so hot around here!

mommy and daddy have been keepin’ me pretty cool, though. they spray my tummy with water and got me a cooler vest from body cooler. they also got the mat, but it makes squishy sounds and i don’t like to walk on it. the vest is nice, though.

here’s a pic of me in my most favoritest spot (mommy’s pillow) wearing my vest.

i also got into some mischief, too. see, the thing is, i love to chew mommy’s underwear, but she gets mad. so…when everybody’s gone, i stand up next to the laundry hamper, sneak my little head under the “protective” flap, and reach my paw up *into* the basket and pull out whatever looks fun.

these are a pair that i’ve had my way with and are no longer suitable as a clothing item.

oh yeah! yesterday was father’s day! i got my daddy a card that said he was the bestest hugger in the whole world! mommy even helped me sign it and i gave it to him with some sort of yummy smelling tweat called a snickers that i’m not allowed to have. but because i love him so much, i didn’t chomp down on it.

mommy made me wear this get-up when i gave him my card.

i gotta go have my mid-morning nap now, guys. stay cool and keep on chewin’!
