Jabba the Pug

Friday was Jabba’s Birthday. I didn’t get him anything, but the ‘rents did–a chewy bone, a ‘Birthday Cake’ dog cookie with frosting, and a new cover for our bed. I always get to play with the new toys that we get first because I’m the boss around here. I was also happy to be able to partake in some of Jabba’s birthday turkey and spinach casserole that we’ve been gobbling down over the past few days. Well, today was supposed to be another Pug Meetup in Boulder, but unfortunately the weather is a little worse for wear around here (20-30s) Old Man Winter is back! So unfortunately Leia and I didn’t get to go to that, but here are some pics of us in our backyard:

BUT, last week the weather was nice so we had a little barbecue in the backyard… Here are some pics of the festivities:

I love peanut butter! (who doesn't?) When there's just a little bit around the edges left, that's usually when I get to lick the jar. What a great weekend treat! Too bad my toungue isn't long enough to reach all the way down to the bottom of the jar--drat! Click on the picture below to start the slideshow:

Today I got a special treat. Daddy cooked me up some tasty food from the Three Dog’s Cookbook. It was called turkey caserole or something like that; whatever it was, I thought it was pretty tasty. Here are some pics:

the fam and i had a nice time yesterday. i guess it was supposed to be some sort of ‘holiday’ or somethin’. all i know is there were lots of loud booms around and somebody put cool-whip on my nose.

tweats for me!!!!!!! i was whinning the whole time mommy was making my tweats ’cause it looked so exciting.

tweat inspector jabba. yup…these are ready to bake! get ‘em in the oven so i can eat them!

i am going to take some of those yummy tweats over to frankie and frieda’s house tomorrow. mommy and daddy have to go out of town so that means it’s sleepover party time for me! oh yeah….i can’t wait! all the mischief i can get into….all the toys i can demolish….all the tweats i can eat…..all the friends i can chase….all the food i can beg for….it’s gonna be so much fun!

the bad part? i can’t write to you guys for several days! mommy says april 6, but that sounds like a long time. ’till then…..woof!

something very exciting happened yesterday….i got to help open up some very exciting boxes containing my very favorite things in the world…..lots of food! i don’t know how it got to our house (i think mom ordered it), but i sure did enjoy sniffing and inspecting so many boxes. daddy said i was such a good helper that he gave me some yummy baby carrots after all my hard work.
